With spring football practices beginning next week, now seems like a good time to take a look at five storylines to watch during these next 15 practices.
1. About the quarterbacks: There hasn’t been any change in the status of third-year- sophomore-to-be Cyler Miles, who was suspended indefinitely after allegations of assault on the night of Feb. 2. It’s not clear if Miles (or Damore’ea Stringfellow) will return at any point in the spring. And while it’s probably true that Miles is the most logical choice to replace Keith Price as the team’s starter in 2014, I think a fair number of people expected Troy Williams to make a push for the job, anyway. With Miles likely out, Williams and Jeff Lindquist will come to the fore. Lindquist’s only game action came in garbage time last season while Williams redshirted.
