Wilcox says some shots still not going down, but he’ll take 24 points

It’s better than what it’s been. There are still some shots that I usually make that didn’t go down, but I’ll take it. The whole time I just try to stay confident and know that I’m going to make the next few in a row, just staying aggressive. Romar made it a point to give it to me early and I was able to get good looks.

Huskies take a step forward in effort, but still fall back

Pressure, transition points, turnovers. These were hallmarks of Huskies teams past. The style brought recruits and put behinds in Hec Ed seats. Oregon is playing it now.

Oregon trapped, pressed, switched defenses and drove into the paint. However, Washington did not wilt against the conference leaders. Saturday was not the mental checkout of the prior two games. The Huskies just didn’t have enough to beat the 16th-ranked Ducks in a game where neither team could stop turning the ball over.
