— John McGrath wrote this column about the homecoming of Colorado quarterback Sefo Liufau.

— The Seattle Times: Washington destroyed Colorado.

In other Pac-12 action …

UCLA 31, Arizona 26 — Myles Jack, the Bellevue product, had a monster game on both sides of the ball as the Bruins ended their desert frustration. It was a late night for the Wildcats, who hung in until the end.

Arizona State 20, Utah 19 — The Sun Devils avoided the upset thanks to Taylor Kelly’s late touchdown pass. The final result spoiled the effort of Utah’s defense.

USC 62, California 28 — The Trojans made plays in the open field en route to this rout. California continues to deal with growing pains.

In basketball action …

Washington begins its season tonight with a 7 p.m. game against Seattle University at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. Here’s our season preview story to get you in the mood.
