The Seattle Seahawks announced that right tackle Breno Giacomini underwent successful arthoscopic surgery on his right elbow this morning at Seattle Surgery Center.

The surgery was performed by team doctor Ed Khalfayan. Giacomini was listed on the team’s injury report the last week of the regular season against the St. Louis Rams, and played with the issue throughout the NFC playoffs.

Recovery time is expected to be four to six weeks for Giacomini’s elbow issue, so he should be ready for the start of Seattle’s off-season workout program at the end of March.

  1. Dave Boling says:

Just saw a tweet that the Hawks hired Travis Jones of the Saints as new d-line coach. Didn’t the Saints have the worst defense in NFL history this season?

  2. Lightning never strikes the same spot twice Dave. He can’t be part of the worst defense in NFL history 2 years in a row.

  3. Dave, it was their secondary that was terrible I thought.

  4. Interesting…… I wonder what the connection to Schneider, Carrol or Quinn is?

  6. Dukeshire says:

No Tom, they were simply awful in every respect. They ranked last in rush defense with 147 yards a game, and second to last in pass defense. They gave up the most yards in NFL history.

  7. Dukeshire says:

God, I was hoping we saw the last of that nonsense. No such luck…

  8. “God, I was hoping we saw the last of that nonsense. No such luck…”

I hope to hell your comment is not referring to Georgia’s Seahawks poem.

  9. Dukeshire says:
