Hawks in the basement looking up…

If true then we only have one direction to go.

  2. ryanryan says:

I’m bummed to see the seahawks haven’t signed either of its first rounders today…they both need the reps. I wonder if Willis will take the reps at LT to allow Lock to play his position (assuming that Okung will sign soon) or if they will move Lock over to LT like they would if Okung was injured or will be a long holdout.

    (sigh)

I know Kam C. had a good bowl game, but I was just watching the season opener Vtech vs Bama and Kam let the receivers get behind him way too much to the point where his play cost them the game. At least I think. And, he doesn’t have the T. Mays kind of speed to catch up once caught behind.

As nice as it sounds, i don’t think we’ll see an Earl T. and Kam C. duo unless by default. In which case it’s temporary. Maybe the coaches can get him on track but it never worked for Hamlin, he always had issues biting hard on play action and it looks to be the same for Kam at least in college. here’s to hoping otherwise.

  4. Dukeshire says:

No, he does not have Mays speed. Mays is a freak athlete. Kam was a FS at V Tech, after playing corner his freshman year. But he’s here to play SS which won’t require him to cover receivers the way he was in college. There will be TEs and deeper zones opposite Thomas, he’ll be responsible for vs. the pass, for the most part. I’m not sure what you saw was a good representation of what he’ll bring to this D. At SS he’ll be playing a lot of downhill, play in front of him, run support, while Thomas will be hawking behind him. And good luck getting behind him.

  5. Kam Chancellor will be scary to watch at SS. And I mean scary in a David Greene type of way.

If Trufant has not recovered, will the starting secondary of Trufant, Wilson, Milloy and Thomas be in the bottom 5 of the NFL? I think Thomas can be an Ed Reed type (that’s huge praise) down the road, but not early in his career.

  6. Dukeshire says:

Camp finally opens today. Hell yes! Is anyone here going?
