Just a friendly reminder that we will be hosting our first mock draft live chat tomorrow, beginning at 11 a.m. Our GMs have been selected and are doing their homework in preparation of Saturday’s draft, so pop in if you have time in the morning. We’ll be doing just the first round.

Here’s my story today from the final day of Seattle’s minicamp, with head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider now shifting their attention to the draft after the three-day camp.

Our own Dave Boling takes a closer look at the offensive line situation and how things are changing under Alex Gibbs.

Clark Judge of CBS Sports details the Seahawks’ needs in this year’s draft.

Clare Farnsworth of Seahawks.com provides this overview the final day of minicamp.

Seahawks play-by-play broadcaster and former player Steve Raible puts Seattle on the draft clock in this video.

  1. Which means less than 24 hours to the mock, In was assigned to the Lions and Falcons, Lions = No homework :D

  2. zombiehooliganfc says:

You know, it’d really help me draft for Cleveland if they got the #1 pick by tomorrow. Green Bay is going to be the most interesting pick.

  3. I’m just going to go ahead and address this to Dukeshire before he comments:

    NERDS!

  4. I’ll be available as an alternate if anyone doesn’t show up.

  5. Dukeshire says:

    rollo73 – lol!

  6. JacDG-

Got a really good fan who is a HUGE Falcons fan (yes they do exist), and he says “they better draft a f**kin corner.” So that should help.

  7. From what I’ve read they have a bunch of defensive needs, but I’ve got a couple of players in mind with that pick.

  8. Duke is drafting for the Hawks? No problem. Here’s what you do: just get us a left tackle, guard, two safeties, defensive end, tackle, tight end, cornerback, running back, and our quarterback of the future. Then you’re done. Good luck!

  9. and a kicker^^ Mare is almost older than Favre!

  10. After tomorrow, the 49ers will definitely be in the drivers seat in the NFC West.

  11. I have the Giants and the Colts –

I have it on good authority that the giants need OL that will jump and the slightest hint of a crowd.

    See you all tomorrow!!!!

  12. snydro81 says:

    xcman,

    lol..

  13. Dukeshire-

You should go to http://www.mynorthwest.com and click on the link for ESPN radio and listen to it on your cpu, while you’re waiting to leave comments. They just had an NFL insider on there (can’t remember his name) and he said he has excellent sources INSIDE TEAMS that have told him that Detroit, Washington, and KC definitely want to trade down in the first. Just letting you know.

  14. Eric wouldn’t let me draft with you guyz :-(

  15. Dukeshire says:

Bobby – You’ll like this, just skip to the 3rd paragraph and you’ll begin to feel better about things.

  16. Dukeshire-

Draft a kicker in the first round, and throw the whole thing off. I mean seriously dude, how many people really pay attention to mockery drafts anyway? I would say draft a punter, but Jon Ryan is the only player worth a damn!

  17. I do like the sounds of it… but now more than ever I think the ‘elephant’ needs to be a huge priority… I’m hoping it becomes Morgan…

  18. rolo – Mare is our franchise player.

  19. Draft Morgan at #6. Trade #14 (and something insignificant) to New Orleans for Jamaal Brown (LT) and #32 pick. Select Brian Price at #32. That’s one of my round 1 dream scenarios. We’d get a legit LT, a stud DE, and a 3-tech DT (so Mebane could move back to the position he’s had more success). That would definitely solidify the trenches!

  20. chuck_easton says:

Wish I could participate tomorrow. Problem is my son turns 13 today so I’m duty bound to be at his party tomorrow. (that I’m feeling real old today knowing I am now the parent of a teenager).

At least he chose paintball for his party so I can take my frustrations out by legally shooting my own kid!

  21. Soggybuc says:

HAHA, I’ll be out painting up friends as well tomorrow. your not in Sno-co are ya? looking forward to everything but whats going to be the soreness after a long winter off.

  22. Hawkfan1951 says:

Is there a list of which blogger has what team?

    GO HAWKS!! GO “O” LINE!!!!

  23. I have San Fran and Minnesota.

  24. Dukeshire says:

rollo73 – I’m leaning toward a LB at 6 and TE at 14. That way, at least 2 really good players will fall causing a domino effect allowing us to get great value in the 4th.

  25. snydro81 says:

I almost spit beer through the nose on that one.
