Brian McIntyre of NorthwestFootball.net provides contract details on Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill’s six-year, $38 million deal he signed with Seattle last week (hat tip to Seahawks Addicts).
Here’s the yearly breakdown.
The numbers total $31 million. McIntyre culled the contract details from NFLPA records. They do not include details on the signing bonus, which he estimates at $4.5 million. If you add up the estimated signing bonus and the first two years of the contract you get the $15.5 million guaranteed figure that has been reported.
McIntyre also says he believes Hill’s cap number in the first year of his contract will fall between $5 million and $6.3 million — a couple million less than it would have been if Hill had signed the $8.3 million franchise tender, which Seattle used to bring in cornerback Ken Lucas and fullback Justin Griffith.
