On the second play from scrimmage, Patrick Kerney and Rocky Bernard sacked JTOS, who fumbled the ball. Darryl Tapp scooped it up and looked to be headed for the end zone, but he dropped the ball and the Niners recovered. The pressure they were able to get is a good sign, though.

Same old same old. At least there wasn’t an “inadvertant whistle” this time. And they settle for a field goal. Swell.

you watching the same game? I didn’t see him “scoop it up”. I saw him TRY (instead of fall on it) and never come close because he picked his head up and looked to the endzone instead of concentrating on the ball. And because of that the Niners recovered. Tapp should’ve fallen on the ball, not TRIED to scoop it up. Let’s try to be a little more accurate on the play by play and not sugarcoat it please.

Sweeney, you are not only mad you are an arrogant tool.

  4. I was screaming at my TV on that play. It was a great example of why the Hawks haven’t been playing well. Tapp, instead of falling on the ball, goes for glory and ends up letting the Niners have the ball back. Were I Holmgren, I would have let Jackson play the next series for Tapp.
