We have a teleconference with Rams RB Steven Jackson in about 15 minutes. Mike Holmgren’s news conference is at noon, and Scott Linehan’s is at 12:20, which means Darrin Beene will cover the Linehan stuff and I will be there for Holmgren. We’ll both file stuff after all the press conferences and then today’s practice at 1:35.

Don’t know if you saw this little item, but David Greene was cut from the Patriots’ practice squad yesterday.

Also, the Rams, with a really torn-up offensive line, signed 36-year-old veteran Todd Steussie on Tuesday and he will probably start Sunday against Seattle.

the hawks won the 1st game 33-6 if this game is’nt similar it will be a big disapointment. the D had 7 sacks, 3 int. no reason to believe we can’t do that again. the k will be for the hawks to jump out to a quick lead and the t-off on bulger. can’t wait for sunday. GO HAWKS

St. Louis scares me a little. We should dominate this game but you never know which Seahawk team will show up. Hopefully the last two wins have created some confidence. If we win in St. Louis and Philly and establish some momentum there’s no reason we can’t win five (six?)of our last games.

  3. ballgame says:

reagarding the remaining games I can’t see us not be favored in everyone, I no looking at the teams that isn’t one game I won’t be disappointed if we lose. They should 12-4 going into the playoffs. Interesting note if we win out and finish at 12-4, and either GB or Dallas finish at 12-4 we would be the #2 seed due to are NFC record.

    GB Schedule Dallas Schedule
    @ DET NYJ
    @ Dallas GB
    Oak @ DET
    @ St. L Philly
    @ Chi @ CAR
    Det @ Washington

    Just something to think about.

i think the thing we need to concider is this; if we win5 of 6 we finish 11-5 not a bad record at all ofcource none of it matters the season starts over with the playoffs. i don’t see greenbay or dallas losing 3-4 games so i think 3rd is the best seed we can hope for.

hpefully in next years draft we focus on the lines and maybe a running back.

  5. cititravis says:

well 3 games lost by Green Bay is not out of the question. They could lose on Thanksgiving…Detroit is always tough on turkey day. Then they play dallas, at chicago, and Detroit again the last week of the year. if they lose this week there is hope.

  6. that’s ’cause greene can’t roll with the big boys.

what was it matty said? “that may work against georgia tech, but it won’t work here.”

  7. kinger12 says:

Wow I think winning all of the remaining games is going to a tall order. If we can win out our division with wins against the Rams and the Cards then pick up wins at with the Falcons and the Eagles I think we will be doing well. Ravens and the Panthers could be tough doable but tough. Having the Ravens here helps a ton. Panthers on the road??? 10 wins is very doable 11 would be great – I think 12 is going to be real hard. Winning the division 4th time in a row – priceless! And also a first for the NFL.
That one loss right now to AZ in the Div looks worse day by day, hope that doesn’t come back to haunt us!
People make a big deal about the Pats and how great they are but look 6 games per year against the Sick Fish, NY Jokes and the Blockheads not exactly stellar teams and a combined record of 7-23. sure sure any given sunday but putting 6 wins in the bag before you start your season certainly puts a smile on any face not that Bullycheck every would smile that is!

  8. It’s way too early to call some of these games, but there are a few things that can be kept in mind:

Philly – banged up, about to be banged up more.

Cards – Not the same team we played earlier this season (no Lienart, no Berry).

Carolina – Which QB? Either way, you can smack your lips and say mmm-sack.

Baltimore – No good QB to show yet. McNair went bust faster than expected. Boller *may* be good in a few weeks, but that’s not guaranteed. Samare Rolle just revealed he’s been missing games due to epilepsy. The rest of the D is aging and just not getting it done like they used to.

Atlanta – One more time with the QB issue.

In some cases, the biggest factor in the opponent’s favor is the location (remember Denver last year?)…teams shouldn’t be relying on that to be the main reason they have a chance against us.

    Ravens 1-4 on the road

    Panthers 0-4 @ Home

  10. VoodooF101 says:

    Seahawks 1-3 on the road………

  11. thomasdunn says:

Two of those losses on the road were to two good teams, Steelers and Browns

  12. doubledink says:

Hey, no pins Voodoo. We need this one.

  13. VoodooF101 says:

only pins for the Rams : )
