CB Marcus Trufant (ankle), C Robbie Tobeck (hip), RG Chris Gray (thigh) and WR Darrell Jackson (toe) did not practice today. No surprises there, but look at that list: four Super Bowl starters. The team is scheduled to practice tomorrow morning at 10:05 Pacific time before leaving for Tampa. The Hawks would generally practice at 11:45 on Friday mornings, but the earlier practice is designed to help in the adjustment to the 10 a.m. Pacific kickoff Sunday. One thing about this team: It has proven it can start slowly in any time zone (although the 2006 team is averaging more first-quarter points than the Super Bowl team of 2005).
