Washington State postgame notes

Washington State Notes:

·       Brock Motum led WSU with 28 points…he was 11-for-19 from the field and 5-for-8 from 3-point range…he has 1,530 career points, fifth all-time on the WSU career scoring list.

·       Motum has scored at least 11 points in all 32 games this season…he’s scored double figures in 32-straight games.

·       Motum reached the 20-point plateau for the 12th time this season and the 24th time in his career…the third-straight game and the fourth time in the last five games.

·       For the third-straight game Motum scored in double figures in the first half, he had 14

Video: WSU forward Brock Motum on Vegas, his play and the team’s recent run

Brock Motum said he’s seen some “weird people” on the Vegas strip during his first trip to Sin City. He also says the team has begun to figure out how to win close games after being in so many. Oh, and he says his dad kept his mom from the mistake of gambling.

Video: Ken Bone says his team has ‘stopped panicking’

Washington State head coach Ken Bone touched on a lot of topics Tuesday. He says much of Royce Woolridge’s recent uptick can just be attributed to playing more after taking almost two years off from game competition. He also said he’s felt the team was close to putting together a small run. Then joked, “We’re not overconfident.”

Another step for Washington in win over Cougars


Scott Suggs and Lorenzo Romar sat down for a conversation following the blowout loss to Arizona.

Romar explained to Suggs that the fifth-year senior had to play with more intensity. After all, Suggs had just played 30 minutes and collected zero — zero — rebounds.
