Audio: Lorenzo Romar discusses Tony Wroten’s injury on KJR

Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar was on Mitch in the Morning talking about hoops and specifically the minor knee surgery that Tony Wroten underwent yesterday. Romar characterized it as even more minor than the knee surgery that Chris Polk had preseason that never kept him out of  game.  Wroten could be back practicing next week if everything goes well.

Tony Wroten undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery, not expected to miss any games

The University of Washington announced that touted freshman Tony Wroten underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Thursday. The surgery was considered minor and he isn’t expected to miss any regular season basketball games.

“Tony could have probably gone the whole season with a little discomfort at times and played through this,” said head coach Lorenzo Romar. “But he and his family, plus our staff, thought it would be better to take care of this now so he would be fine for the rest of the year. It has been nagging him a little bit, but he’ll be ready to
