Ross scores 21 points in NBA summer league debut

Terrence Ross scored 21 points, including three 3-pointers in his NBA summer league debut yesterday in Las Vegas for the Toronto Raptors. Toronto lost 91-83, but Ross showed some flair with a couple of sick dunks. Ross will be back in action on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.  The game will be televised on the NBA network.

Terrence Ross hires agent, will enter NBA draft

As expected, Husky sophomore shooting guard Terrence Ross will forego his final two seasons at Washington and enter the upcoming NBA draft. Ross has even hired an agent.

From the press release

“I discussed the pros and the cons with my family and I just think this is a great step for me and it’s time for me to take my game to the next level,” Ross said about his decision.

Pac-12 postseason awards: Lorenzo Romar named coach of the year; Tony Wroten wins freshman of the year

The conference awards are finally out and head coach Lorenzo Romar was named coach of the year and Tony Wroten was named freshman of the year.  I’m sure Husky fans will be upset about Terrence Ross or Tony Wroten not winning player of the year.  Yes, Jorge Gutierrez’s stats aren’t as good, and he two bad last games, but coaches vote on this and coaches love Gutierrez. Realistically, this vote wasn’t just based on this year, but his entire four years at California. Could Ross and Wroten have canceled each other out? It’s possible, but both were named first-team all-conference.
