Washington head football coach Steve Sarkisian could be on the verge of naming a starting quarterback.
After practice Friday, Sarkisian said the favorite – redshirt sophomore Keith Price or redshirt freshman Nick Montana – has “been pretty clear now for a little over a week.” He did not reveal what player had emerged as the starter in his mind.
When asked if he wanted to name a starter after the spring game today, Sarkisian admitted there were benefits to making such an announcement before the summer.
“There might be something to that, to be able to go into summer with a guy that can kind of lead the offseason throwing and things of that nature,” he said. “Let me kind of sleep on it and see how I feel (today).”
