Keith Price sends ill-advised text to Arizona linebacker

With the Huskies set to open Pacific-12 Conference play this week against visiting Arizona, UW quarterback Keith Price figured he’d send at text message to his good friend Marquis Flowers, a linebacker for the Wildcats.

“I told him, ‘We got you this week,’” Price said.

Flowers remembered sacking Keith Price in the third quarter of the Wildcats’ 52-17 drubbing of the Huskies last season. He forced Price to fumble on the play and recovered it himself.

Flowers thought he’d remind Price of his place.

Keith Price was swallowed by the talking-head filled tents at Pac-12 Media Day in Culver City, Calif., last week. The demand made him last to arrive at Washington’s designated lunch table.

Price ran through a litany of interviews, mostly with out-of-town folks working off what they heard and read about his 2012 season. They asked over and over which Price will show up in 2013. He’s used to it now.

Will Seferian-Jenkins miss any games? Thoughts on how his remaining punishment, if any, could be handled

Friday is Pac-12 Media Day in Los Angeles, where reporters will be able to speak with all the coaches in the conference.

Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian is slated to speak at 9:45 a.m. A live-stream of the day will be available on Pac-12.com. He’ll surely be asked about the future of Austin Seferian-Jenkins. I’d bet we get an answer then.
