Pac-12 sets up independent review into tournament officiating

The resignation of head of officials Ed Rush following his comments encouraging officials to target Arizona coach Sean Miller in the Pac-12 Tournament was not the end of the conference’s effort to change perceptions. They have launched an independent investigation into the officiating at the tournament.

Pac-12′s head of basketball officials Ed Rush resigns

Just days after a story broke that the Pac-12′s coordinator of men’s basketball officiating, Ed Rush, had told officials at the Pac-12 Tournament to target Arizona coach Sean Miller, he resigned.

The conference announced Rush’s resignation Thursday is effective immediately.

Romar doesn’t expect the same UCLA team that faced WSU

UCLA coach Ben Howland said that Travis Wear, who has a bum ankle, will start Saturday morning for the Bruins. He also said that UCLA sat down after practice Friday in Hec Ed and watched the entire Washington State game, during which it was blown out for much of the night in a stunning 73-61 loss Wedneday.

As for Washington, Lorenzo Romar said everyone is healthy and that he doesn’t expect to see the version of the Bruins

Suddenly, that’s three in a row for Washington

In the midst of an extended bumbling run, Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar said he thought the Huskies were close.

There was little evidence to support his point of view when Washington lost seven of eight. But, now, after winning three in a row and four of five, the argument appears more sound.
