Washington stuns Stanford, 17-13

If you said Washington would win, did you really believe it?

Apparently, the Huskies did.

Washington used a stout, pounding performance reminiscent of the Don James era and 2009′s 16-13 upset of USC to pull the 17-13 upset of Stanford on Thursday night. Let’s take a look at the news, notes and numbers:

Tuesday practice report and Justin Wilcox video

It was a pretty quiet  Tuesday practice. It was full pads and perhaps the biggest thing for the Huskies is that nobody expected to play on Saturday missed practice or was injured.

Sophomore wide receiver DiAndre Campbell was wearing a yellow no contact jersey. He was supposedly mildly injured in Friday’s mock game, but we don’t know what happened.

One player not in the yellow no-contact jersey was wide receiver Kevin Smith. The junior wide receiver practiced fully with no restrictions. It means there’s a good chance we will see him get some snaps on Saturday,
