A few standouts from the Huskies’ spring finale

A handful of standouts from the Huskies’ final practice of the spring …

QB Jeff Lindquist (R-Jr., 6-3, 244) — Along with his 237 yards passing and two touchdowns (he did throw an interception, too), Lindquist also led a long, impressive drive that ended with Ralph Kinne’s 2-yard touchdown run during the final 11-on-11 period of the day. It’s not hard to see why coach Chris Petersen and offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith seem fairly pleased with Lindquist’s progression this spring. He looks a little more poised, a little more confident. And he’s throwing the ball a little better as a result. This is still very much a three-player quarterback competition — Jake Browning and K.J. Carta-Samuels improved throughout spring, too — but I think I might give Lindquist a slight edge heading into fall camp. Read more »
