Huskies: Back to Oregon after three days home

The Huskies returned home after their loss at Oregon on Wednesday, and this afternoon fly back down for their Sunday afternoon game at Oregon State.

Coach Lorenzo Romar explained what is gained by handling the the Ducks and Beavers as separate trips.

How N’Diaye dominated Colorado defensively

Amid all the talk about Washington’s improved defense is a large question of where it is coming from. Well, the answer is also large.

Seven-foot Aziz N’Diaye has proven to be a mobile defensive force which covers up multiple issues for Washington on defense. His presence not only blocks and changes shots, but it also changes approach.

Pac-12 viewing guide

In case you misses it, last week, Arizona senior quarterback Matt Scott set Pac-12 records for completions and attempts when he was 45 of 69 passes in the 54-48 OT loss at Stanford. The previous records were 43 completions (California’s Rich Campbell vs. Florida, 1980) and 68 attempts (Steve Smith, Stanford vs. Notre Dame, 1989). Scott threw for 491 yards, the third best single-game total in Arizona history and 12th all-time in the Pac-12.

On to this week. Arizona State beat Colorado 51-17 on Thursday night. Oregon and Arizona are off.

UW hoop team to appear on ESPN family of network nine times this season

ESPN just released it’s schedule for televising of Pac-12 games as part of its new TV agreements. The Huskies will appear nine times on the Husky family of networks.

Pac-12 Network announces full on-air talent lineup for inaugural football season

The Pac-12 Network announced its full on-air talent lineup today for its inaugural football season. And it has a little local flavor with former Sonics play-by-play man and current 710-AM radio host Kevin Calabro will join Ted Robinson and Dave Flemming as announcers for the network. Also Brooke Olzendam, a former Fox Sports Northwest reporter and Washington State grad will be a sideline reporter.
