Huskies: Back to Oregon after three days home

The Huskies returned home after their loss at Oregon on Wednesday, and this afternoon fly back down for their Sunday afternoon game at Oregon State.

Coach Lorenzo Romar explained what is gained by handling the the Ducks and Beavers as separate trips.

Kickoff times set for Eastern Washington, Illinois games

The Pac-12 announced a handful of kickoff times for the upcoming 2014 football season, and two of those times were for Washington games.

The Huskies’ home opener against Eastern Washington on Sept. 6 will kickoff at noon and will be broadcast by the Pac-12 Networks, and UW’s Sept. 13 home game against Illinois will kickoff at 1 p.m. on FOX.

It was announced a few weeks back that UW’s season opener at Hawaii on Aug. 30 will kickoff at 5 p.m. Pacific Time and will be broadcast by the CBS Sports Network. Read more »


UW alters its 2015 schedule, replaces Hawaii with Utah State

Washington announced Thursday that it will no longer host Hawaii in 2015, replacing the Warriors on their schedule with Utah State.

Hawaii will instead host Ohio State, and will visit UW in 2019 instead of 2015.

In addition, the Huskies will now open their season at Boise State on either Sept. 3 or 4, and will host Sacramento State the following week. Those games were originally flip-flopped on the schedule. UW’s game against Utah State will be Sept. 19.

There are no changes to UW’s 2014 schedule.

Spring football to be split into two sessions this year

Washington will start spring football earlier than usual and split the practices into two sessions. The first practice is March 5. In the past, spring practice would start following the conclusion of the spring quarter, which, this year, would have been April 1.
