The message included a “Go Dawgs,” but it’s not the kind Washington Huskies fans were hoping for.

Much time remains before he will sign a national letter of intent, but Lake Stevens High School quarterback Jacob Eason, one of the top quarterbacks in the 2016 recruiting class, announced on his Twitter page that he intends to play for the University of Georgia.

Eason was/is a target of UW, and attended a few of the Huskies’ spring practices as an observer. His list of offers is a who’s who of college football’s elite — Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and so forth — and Scout.com currently ranks Eason as the No. 5 quarterback in the 2016 class.
