Washington remained in exclusive company after Arizona State beat California yesterday. How so? Read on.

— One quick football link: will UW be a Pac-12 sleeper in 2014?

— Indeed, ASU took care of business, improving its record to 21-8 with a 78-60 victory over California at Wells Fargo Arena. With the victory, ASU finishes its Pac-12 home schedule with an 8-1 record. Its only conference home loss was to Washington on Jan. 2. … California lost for the third time in four games.

— Oregon was challenged by USC, but the Ducks eventually pulled away for a must-have, 78-63 victory. The Ducks are now in a three-way tie with UW and Utah for seventh place in the Pac-12. The Trojans remain in last place.

Utah won its 19th game of the season, knocking off Colorado, 75-64, in Salt Lake City.

There are two more games today …

Arizona wraps up its home schedule with a 5 p.m. game against Stanford (ESPNU/WatchESPN).

Oregon State visits UCLA (6 p.m., FOX Sports 1). The Bruins should regain the services of their two best players.
