Thursdays are best when they begin with links. Join us.

Arizona got Stanford’s best shot last night in Palo Alto, but the Wildcats improved their record to 21-0 after pulling out a 60-57 victory.

— California’s tailspin continued, as the Bears lost their third consecutive game by dropping an 89-78 overtime decision at home against Arizona State.

— Oregon State will try to stop playing so poorly in the second half when it hosts USC today (6 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).

— One other Pac-12 game tonight, as UCLA visits Oregon (6 p.m., ESPN2). More on the departure of Arik Armstead from UO’s basketball team. He’s leaving to concentrate on football, where he plays defensive line. The Ducks might be without a senior guard against the Bruins.

— Washington State center Jordan Railey is having trouble staying on the floor.

— ESPN College GameDay will visit Boulder when Colorado hosts Arizona later next month.

— Utah is looking for some help for its top two scorers.
