Nothing new in here that you’re not already aware of, but since the school released the official document today, I figured I might as well just pass it along for those curious about what these kind of things entail.
UW confirmed earlier this month that former defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi reached a mutual separation agreement with UW that will pay him $300,000. According to the agreement, his employment at the school officially ended on Jan. 17.
Perhaps of most interest — though still not surprising in any way — is the No. 4 item under “Agreements,” which dictates that both UW and Lupoi will cooperate with any Pac-12 or NCAA investigations, and that “both parties acknowledge that the University has an obligation as a public institution and a member of the NCAA and the Pac-12 conference to investigate allegations of wrongdoing and to report the results of such investigations to the appropriate authorities, and this release shall not be interpreted in any way that interferes with that right.”
Lupoi is under investigation for allegedly paying $4,500 to help cover tutoring and online class costs for former UW recruit Andrew Basham of Lynnwood.
