Tristan Vizcaino, a kicker who was previously “committed” to Washington State, told Dawgman.com that he now plans to play football for Washington.

Vizcaino, who is from La Verne, Calif., is rated a 3-star prospect, and told Dawgman that coaches told him to prepare to handle all three kicking duties — kickoffs, place kicks and punts — upon his arrival at UW in the summer.

So if Vizcaino does end up signing, he fills a need for the Huskies, who lose senior kicker/punter/kickoff guy Travis Coons to graduation. They do have Cameron Van Winkle, but he was sidelined for much of last season with a back injury and only handled kickoffs when he was healthy.
