Washington released memorandums of understanding on Monday for all but one of its assistant football coaches — tight ends coach Jordan Paopao’s agreement has yet to be finalized — and defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski is UW’s highest-paid assistant at $485,000 in his first year, and $500,000 in his second year.

Here are the rest of the first and second-year salaries for the Huskies’ assistants, each of whom agreed to a two-year deal:

RBs coach Keith Bhonapha: $250,000 in Year 1; $265,000 in Year 2

WRs coach Brent Pease: $345,000 in Year 1; $360,000 in Year 2

OL coach Chris Strausser: $425,000 in Year 1; $440,000 in Year 2

Offensive coordinator Jonathan Smith: $425,000 in Year 1; $440,000 in Year 2

DL/ST coach Jeff Choate: $345,000 in Year 1; $360,000 in Year 2

LBs coach Bob Gregory: $425,000 in Year 1; $440,000 in Year 2

DBs coach Jimmy Lake: $375,000 in Year 1; $390,000 in Year 2

DC Pete Kwiatkowski: $485,000 in Year 1; $500,000 in Year 2

Add up those first-year totals, and UW is spending upwards of $3 million on assistant coaches — $3.075 million, to be exact — even before Paopao’s salary is figured in. Washington’s total assistant pay in 2013 was a little more than $2.8 million. Paopao was paid $98,000 in base salary in 2013, in addition to another $12,000 as compensation for appearances and consultations. He was also in line for a raise in 2014.
