Lorenzo Romar and a few Washington players will meet with reporters later today. Until then, read some stories about other teams playing basketball.

— First, a quick football story about the departure of Erik Kohler, who is leaving the program for medical reasons.

— California’s 96-83 win at Oregon last night is considered an upset, but maybe it shouldn’t be: the Bears have now won 12 consecutive games over the Ducks, a pretty remarkable number considering Oregon’s progression over the past couple of years.

— Arizona remained unbeaten by knocking off UCLA, 79-75, in Los Angeles. The Bruins might have lost, but at least the fans made noise again at Pauley.

— Oregon State recorded its first Pac-12 victory, beating Stanford 81-72 behind Eric Moreland’s big game. The Cardinal are off to an 0-2 start in conference play.

Arizona State smacked USC, 79-60, holding the Trojans to a season-low point total.

Colorado thinks it practiced well after a sub-par performance in a close victory over Washington State on Wednesday. The Buffaloes visit the Huskies on Sunday afternoon.

— Utah leading scorer Jordan Loveridge has “a big bull’s-eye on his back” from opposing defenses, including Washington on Wednesday night.
