Chris Petersen’s first assistant coaching staff at Washington has been assembled. For the most part.

The new Huskies coach still needs to hire someone to coach tight ends, but the rest of Petersen’s staff has been announced.

The coaches and their duties, in no particular order …

Jonathan Smith — Offensive coordinator/Quarterbacks

Brent Pease — Receivers

Chris Strausser — Offensive line/Associate head coach

Keith Bhonapha — Running backs/Recruiting coordinator

Pete Kwiatkowski — Defensive coordinator

Jimmy Lake — Defensive backs

Jeff Choate — Defensive line/Special teams

Bob Gregory — Linebackers/Assistant head coach

Rich Rasmussen — Director of player personnel

Mike McHugh — Director of football operations

Tim Socha — Strength and conditioning

Salaries for assistant coaches are not yet available. UW also announced that former defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi will be reassigned to a different role in the athletic department. Lupoi is being investigated by the school for an alleged recruiting violation.
