Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports reports what has been rumored and expected for a while now — that Washington defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox will leave UW for USC to fill the same position there after the Huskies’ bowl game tonight.

Wilcox was thought to be headed to USC as soon as Steve Sarkisian took the head coaching job there, but his $1 million buyout at UW was reportedly an issue for the Trojans. It’s not clear if USC has agreed to pay the buyout, or if new UW coach Chris Petersen decided he didn’t want to retain Wilcox on his staff.

No official announcements have been made by UW in regards to new assistant coaches, or current assistant coaches who won’t be retained.
