FROM SAN FRANCISCO — When you live your whole life in the Pacific Northwest, it’s a little weird to be in a city on Christmas where it’s sunny and 60 degrees. But here we are, as Washington’s bowl preparation continues through the holiday. Hope it’s a good one for you and yours.

Later today, the Huskies will make a trip to Glide Memorial Church in downtown San Francisco, where they’ll help serve a Christmas meal to the poor and homeless.

On to some festive links …

— Here’s our story in today’s newspaper, taking a look at whether Keith Price should be ranked among Washington’s best quarterbacks. Don’t want to get too opinionated on the subject, but I tend to believe he should be remembered fondly.

— Chris Petersen made a child’s wish come true three years ago.

A look back at UW’s first bowl appearance.

— BYU’s running back avoided a sophomore slump.

— Steve Sarkisian now gets his chance to turn USC into a power.

— Petersen’s former team didn’t fare so well in its bowl game, falling 38-23 to Oregon State in the Hawaii Bowl. It had been a while since the Beavers won a game.

— What would the BYU football program want for Christmas?

Now, go eat some cookies and such.
