Another high-school prospect formerly committed to Boise State has switched his pledge to Washington.

Drew Sample, a tight end from Newport High School, told UW coach Chris Petersen that he will follow him to Montlake, according to Scout.com and several other recruiting sites.

Sample had been committed to Boise State, but things obviously changed when Petersen left to become UW’s coach. Scout.com rates Sample as a 3-star prospect and the No. 31 tight end in the class of 2014.

UW now has eight known commitments for the 2014 class, according to Scout.com.
