As previously reported, former Washington assistants Johnny Nansen, Keith Heyward and Peter Sirmon have left UW and joined the staff of Steve Sarkisian at USC.

USC made it official on Friday afternoon. Here’s the release. There are no official titles yet, as Sarkisian apparently wants to fill out his staff before assigning specific duties.

As far as what this means for defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox and defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi, it’s hard to say. Wilcox obviously has ties to Petersen, but it would seem strange for Sirmon to leave for USC without Wilcox going with him. Will be interesting to see how that all plays out.
