As usual, our pick for the Washington game will come in a separate post on Friday. For now, he’s our picks for the rest of the Pac-12 games this weekend. Lines come courtesy of VegasInsider.com. All games Saturday, this time.
Oregon (9-1, 6-1 in Pac-12) at Arizona (6-4, 3-4), 12:30 p.m., ABC/ESPN2 (UO by 20.5) — Ducks won’t be tested again until Pac-12 championship game. Probably. The pick: Oregon 52, Arizona 28.
Utah (4-6, 1-6) at Washington State (5-5, 3-4), 12:30 p.m., Pac-12 Networks (WSU by 1.5) — The biggest game played in Pullman in some time, as the Cougars are one win away from bowl eligibility for the first time since 2003. And this seems like an ideal scenario for WSU, which faces a Utah team on a 4-game losing streak, and using its backup quarterback. There are reasons to think the Utes can win this game — their defensive front can be pretty tough, and they’re likely to pressure Connor Halliday — but WSU feels like a safer bet. The pick: WSU 27, Utah 24.
California (1-10, 0-8) at Stanford (8-2, 6-2), 1 p.m., FOX Sports 1 (Stanford by 31.5) — The Big Game doesn’t live up to its name this season, as a terrible California team heads to the farm for the finale of a season that will be best forgotten. So will this game, likely. Stanford is just too strong for the Bears. The pick: Stanford 45, California 13.
Arizona State (8-2, 6-1) at UCLA (8-2, 5-2), 4 p.m., FOX (ASU by 2) — Game of the week in the conference. ASU can clinch the Pac-12 South championship with a victory, but the Bruins are unbeaten at home this season and should provide a stout matchup. UCLA still has plenty to play for, too, and can win the division by winning its final two games (USC waits next week). A tough call here. But I’ve got a feeling the Bruins won’t yield at home. The pick: UCLA 38, ASU 35.
USC (8-3, 5-2) at Colorado (4-6, 1-6), 6:30 p.m., Pac-12 Networks (USC by 22) — No reason why this shouldn’t be a blowout. Trojans will be one win away from 10. The pick: USC 42, Colorado 10.
Last week: 3-3 straight up, 2-4 against the spread. Season: 63-15, 44-33.
