A Washington spokesperson confirmed Sunday night that UW coach Steve Sarkisian said quarterback Keith Price won’t throw this week until Thursday’s practice. The Huskies will then determine whether he’s healthy enough to play Saturday at Oregon State.
The Seattle Times first reported the news earlier Sunday. Price injured his throwing shoulder late in the second quarter of UW’s 41-31 loss at UCLA on Friday night, and didn’t return for the second half. According to The Times, Sarkisian said an MRI exam of Price’s shoulder revealed “a lot of inflammation.”
Sarkisian meets with reporters each Monday afternoon, so more details will be known tomorrow.
