Bishop Sankey named Doak Walker Award semifinalist

A little late to this while in transit, but it was announced today that Washington running back Bishop Sankey is one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award, given annually to the nation’s best running back.

The field will be narrowed to three finalists on Nov. 25.

The 10 semifinalists are:

Ameer Abdullah (Jr.) Nebraska
Antonio Andrews (Sr.) Western Kentucky
Ka’Deem Carey (Jr.) Arizona
Mike Davis (So.) South Carolina
Tyler Gaffney (Sr.) Stanford
Melvin Gordon (So.) Wisconsin
Tre Mason (Jr.) Auburn
Bishop Sankey (Jr.) Washington
Lache Seastrunk (Jr.) Baylor
Andre Williams (Sr.) Boston College
