— Oregon State paid a lot of money for a couple of bad football and basketball losses.

— Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota says he will play this week.

— Colorado and California are partners and misery.

— Utah is preparing to face Mariota.

— Arizona State showed some restraint in beating Utah.

Arizona beat Long Beach State 91-57. The Huskies play LBSU on Nov. 30.

— Stanford dropped its second game, 112-103, to BYU.
