We’re at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, where the Washington Huskies men’s basketball team will host Central Washington in an exhibition game at 7 p.m., and wanted to pass along a quick note that forward Desmond Simmons won’t play tonight while he rests a knee that has been bothering him.

Simmons is sitting out for precautionary reasons, and is still expected to play in UW’s regular-season opener against Seattle University on Sunday.

UW will start Andrew Andrews, Nigel Williams-Goss, C.J. Wilcox, Jernard Jarreau and Perris Blackwell against CWU tonight.

We’ll be back afterward.
