Our story in today’s newspaper focuses on Washington’s receivers, and the need for different players in that group to step up now that Kasen Williams is out for the season.

— Also, here are our Pac-12 picks for this weekend.

— The Seattle Times also writes about UW’s receivers.

— The UW Daily: It’s next man up for the Huskies receivers.

— A Colorado linebacker is playing better, but also performing well in the classroom.

— UCLA safety Anthony Jefferson is a big contributor on the Bruins’ defense after missing time due to injury.

— A pair of banged-up USC players are probable to play Friday against Oregon State.

— Arizona State still has to prove it can win on the road, which it can do tonight at Washington State.

— Speaking of that game, Utah will have a close eye on it.

— Oregon State thinks USC’s offense is better than you think.

— The drama surrounding dismayed former Oregon football players keeps getting more interesting in Eugene.
