As expected, Washington’s 53-24 loss at Arizona State on Saturday bounced the Huskies out of both the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches polls.

Oregon remained at No. 2 in the AP poll, Stanford jumped to No. 8, UCLA fell to No. 12 and Arizona State finished “26th,” essentially, as the team outside the top 25 that received the most votes.

Here are the polls.

  1. This week, #11 Auburn gets Florida Atlantic, while #13 LSU takes on Furman. Meanwhile, #12 UCLA has the dubious task of taking on Oregon. After they win, Auburn and Florida will move up in the rankings, and no matter how well UCLA fares against Oregon on the road, if they lose, they will drop in the polls. If UCLA had an SEC garden variety schedule, they would skip playing Oregon and take on somebody like San Jose State at home. And, this is the killer, they would be rewarded in the polls for it.
