Washington’s loss Saturday to No. 2 Oregon cost it four spots in this week’s AP Top 25 poll, as the Huskies fell from No. 16 to No. 20.

Incidentally, that’s the exact spot I placed the Huskies on my ballot. One other voter had UW at No. 20. Twenty-seven voters had the Huskies higher, and 31 had them lower.

Here’s the poll in its entirety:

1. Alabama (55)

2. Oregon (5)

3. Clemson

4. Ohio State

5. Florida State

6. LSU

7. Texas A&M

8. Louisville

9. UCLA

10. Miami

11. South Carolina

12. Baylor

13. Stanford

14. Missouri

15. Georgia

16. Texas Tech

17. Fresno State

18. Oklahoma

19. Virginia Tech

20. Washington

21. Oklahoma State

22. Florida

23. Northern Illinois

24. Auburn

25. Wisconsin

  1. What an absolute joke that the SEC has 8 ranked teams.

I guess Auburn deserves to move into the Top 25 because they crushed Western Carolina last Saturday. And where’s the love for Mississippi State after they crushed Bowling Green, 21-20? Here’s some of the SEC’s mighty schedule coming up.

    Oct. 26: Mississippi/Idaho, LSU/Furman, Auburn/Florida Atlantic

    Nov. 2: Kentucky/Alabama State, Texas A&M/UTEP

    Nov. 9: Georgia/Appalachian State

    Nov. 16: Mississippi/Troy

    Nov. 23: South Carolina/Coastal Carolina, Florida/Georgia Southern, Alabama/Chattanooga
