Two things happened when the clock struck 6 a.m. this morning: these links were posted on this blog, and ESPN College GameDay began airing live from Red Square on the University of Washington campus.

So we’ll get right to the links.

— First, a note that we’ll host a game chat beginning at 12 p.m. You can ask questions, or simply follow along throughout the game as we update from our Twitter feed.

— Here’s our game advance that ran in today’s paper, focusing on the Huskies’ desire to block out the hoopla going on around them. And a sidebar with a few quotes from the GameDay crew.

— We also made our game prediction yesterday.

— Here’s a report that Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas will play on Saturday.

— Adam Jude of The Seattle Times writes about the UW-Oregon rivalry.

— USA Today’s George Schroeder visited Seattle and wrote this bit about Sarkisian and what he’s built — and is trying to build — at UW.

— USC wants Steve Sarkisian, according to Paul Finebaum:

— Each of CBS Sports’ experts predicts an Oregon victory.

— The Oregonian gives five things to watch in the game.

— Here’s the Register-Guard’s preview.

Elsewhere in Pac-12 action …

Stanford at Utah, 3 p.m., Pac-12 Networks — The Utes could trip Stanford up if the Cardinal aren’t careful. Utah likes the matchup.

Colorado at Arizona State, 7 p.m., Pac-12 Networks – Doug Haller makes his prediction and gives a scouting report. Is Colorado ready to take the next step?

California at UCLA, 7:30 p.m., ESPN2 — The Golden Bears are trying to locate their long-lost running game. Brett Hundley is good friends with a Bruins running back.

Oregon State at Washington State, 7:30 p.m., ESPNU — There’s no understating it – a win in this game would be huge for the Cougars. And it could set the tone for the rest of the Beavers’ season, too.

Stop by for the chat at 1 p.m.

  1. If DAT does play he is ineffective. This game comes down to the Husky defense shutting down Oregon in the 4th quarter. Huskies 35 – Ducks 27.
