Keith Price has never been much for excuses.

So the Washington quarterback was politely dismissive of questions about his injured right thumb, which still sports a pretty healthy tape-job. But Price insists he won’t let that hold him back.

“It’s a little different,” he said. “But if I’m healthy enough to come out here and practice, I have to be ready to perform.”

UW coach Sarkisian said he hasn’t limited Price at all.

“Keith has taken every rep that he would normally have taken,” Sarkisian said. “I think he’s getting better and better throughout the week. He had an excellent practice today. Thought the team in general had a really good practice again today, which is positive.”

In the 20 minutes of practice open to the media, Price has looked pretty much how you would expect — like a quarterback throwing passes to receivers. There hasn’t been anything to indicate that he’s struggling all that much, though again, we don’t see a heck of a lot of practice, so the early warm-up portion is really all there is to go on.
