Meant to pass this along yesterday, but didn’t get around to it. Anyway, I’ve been designated as the AP Top 25 voter in the state of Washington this year, so I plan to pass along my ballot in this space each week. It also publishes in each Thursday’s paper.

Here’s what it looked like when I filed it on Sunday morning. Todd Dybas’ national power rankings from last week were used for the previous week’s ranking in parentheses.

1. Alabama (1) – Ole Miss, legit top-25 team, also legit bug on ‘Bama’s windshield.

2. Oregon (2) – Mariota is the realest of deals.

3. Clemson (5) – Should be 6-0 before showdown with FSU

4. Stanford (3) – Pac-12 deep as ever, but Cardinal appear built to last.

5. Ohio State (4) – Braxton Miller or not, Buckeyes are Big Ten’s best.

6. Georgia (10) – Wild win over LSU just another day in the SEC.

7. Louisville (7) – This week’s opponent (Temple) lost to Idaho. Idaho!

8. Florida State (11) – 4 of final 8 opponents are ranked.

9. UCLA (12) – Neuheisel was right: LA’s football monopoly really is over.

10. Texas A&M (6) – Drinking game: count Manziel headlines during bye week.

11. South Carolina (13) – Relatively easy schedule rest of the way, for SEC.

12. Oklahoma (14) – Believe this: TCU will give Sooners a game.

13. LSU (8) – 4 of final 7 opponents in the top 25, and 2 in the top 10.

14. Michigan (17) – Wolverines at a shaky 4-0, but 4-0 regardless.

15. Northwestern (20) – 2-week stretch vs. Ohio State, Wisconsin will be telling.

16. Washington (15) – Stanford, Oregon, ASU. Season comes or goes next 3 weeks.

17. Miami (FL) (16) – Undefeated season not out of the question.

18. Florida (18) – Loss of QB hurts, especially with 3 top-10 teams left on schedule.

19. Baylor (21) – Nation’s top offense, but against who?

20. Texas Tech (NR) – Kansas this week. Kingsbury vs. Weis like GQ vs. DQ.

21. Fresno State (25) – Hard to find loss on remaining schedule. Certainly not this week vs. Idaho.

22. Oklahoma State (9) – Not even a hostess program could have helped vs. WVU.

23. Arizona State (24) – Late officiating blunder won’t go ASU’s way vs. Notre Dame

24. Wisconsin (19) – Extra credit for hose-job at ASU.

25. Mississippi (23) – No shame in losing to Alabama. Getting blanked, though …
