Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian said he expects middle linebacker John Timu to be good to go this Saturday against Arizona in the Pac-12 opener.

Timu bruised his rotator cuff late in the second quarter against Illinois. He didn’t play the second half or last week against Idaho State.

> Sarkisian also said safety Taz Stevenson had shoulder surgery and is out for the year.

> Sarkisian feels like this is a different team from the one that was blown out and had questionable effort at times last year in Arizona.

> Bishop Sankey said the first week of prepping for the up-tempo offense was the most difficult, but he moved into it pretty quickly from there.

> Keith Price said he has to be better this time around against Arizona. Price was 29-for-52 with two interceptions. Washington had to throw the ball a lot since Arizona went up 45-17.
