The U-19 Team USA squad finished its demolition of international competition Sunday with an 82-68 win over Serbia in the gold medal game. Incoming Washington freshman point guard Nigel Williams-Goss scored 15 points in the final.

For the tournament, during which Williams-Goss led Team USA in minutes, he averaged 7.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game. He shot 49.1 percent overall — including a team-high 42.1 percent (8-of-19) from 3-point range. He was the only American to log more than 200 minutes (205) during the 9-game tournament.

He was also into it when he was on the bench, often standing to cheer and encourage teammates; something rarely seen on the Washington bench last season.

Aaron Gordon, who had Washington among his final schools before picking Arizona, was named tournament MVP.
