Huskies second in Pac-12 athletic department known revenue, according to USA Today

Money is at the crux of college sports, and USA Today once again put together a database of athletic department revenue for 2012.

The totals are a bit fluid, but each year the NCAA collects finance information from member institutions. This is how USA Today came up with its numbers.

Every Pac-12 athletic program that releases information is subsidized. Here’s an explainer on that scary fact.

USC and Stanford are private schools, so numbers for each are not available.

Here, in order of revenue, is how it shakes out in the Pac-12. Note that Washington has the largest margin, among the 10 schools providing information, between revenue and expenses. The Huskies also spent $28,707,128 on coaches and $9,938,526 on scholarships:
