Welcome to Hec Ed. We’re about to get started here with the Bruins and the Huskies. It’s Senior Morning, thanks to the weird start time to accommodate television. Game thread starts on the jump:

> Washington has it’s three-game winning streak snapped by UCLA, 61-54. Again, UCLA killed Washington with points off turnovers. The Bruins outscored Washington there 29-9 and won by seven.

> Andrews stripped. That should do it. Adams to the line with 19.4 to go and the Bruins up 59-54.

> Drew drives Suggs from the top and scores on the left side with his right hand. 59-54 with 32.6 to go.

> Washington on the ropes here. UCLA leads 55-52 with 1:14 to play and Adams is going to the free-throw line.

> At the under-4 timeout, Desmond Simmons’ hustle against has the ball still with Washington. Game is tied 52-52 with 3:37 to go.

> N’Diaye again. Wilcox misses a huge 3 and Anderson scores on other end. 52-50 Washington.

> N’Diaye with an ENORMOUS help block on driving Norman Powell and Suggs score on the other end. Washington leads 47-45 with 7:56 to go.

> Andrew Andrews with a steal and layin to tie the game 45-45 and cause UCLA to call timeout with 8:56 to go.

> Under-12 timeout and the Huskies are hanging in there. UCLA still elads 44-41, but Washington has the ball and has withstood a run from the Bruins.

> UCLA timeout off scramble created by Desmond Simmons. 40-36, Bruins. 14:27 to go.

> UCLA is off to a hot start to open the second half. The Bruins are 5 for 6 and opened a 40-33 lead before Suggs hit a 3-pointer to help keep Washington in it. Jordan Adams has six points already in this half.

> Halftime. Washington leads No. 23 UCLA  31-30. After a hot start from the field, Washington’s scoring went down the tubes quick. The Huskies finished the half shooting 46.4 percent. UCLA, however, shot just 40 percent itself. Travis Wear has 10 points. Wilcox and Kemp have eight, Suggs seven.

> UCLA already with an 11-4 advantage in points off turnovers, same category it killed Washington in during first game.

> Washington leads 28-26 with 3:34 to go.

> Big question the rest of this game: Can Shawn Kemp find the right guy out of double teams? UCLA can’t stop him and is doubling.

> At the under-8 timeout, Washington is tied 22-22 with UCLA. The Huskies’ offense has slowed dramatically.

> Washington point guards doing a very poor job of slowing Drew II’s push off makes and misses.

> Washington up 17-13 at the under-12 timeout with 11:58 to go. Travis Wear has almost half of the Bruins points. He has six already and is 3 for 4. Shawn Kemp Jr. has six points and the Huskies are shooting 61.5 percent.

> Jarreau with a breakaway jam and he almost falls flat after cramming it. Washington up 17-11. Playing very good D.

> At the under-16 and this is a pace we have rarely seen this year. Washington leads 13-8 with 15:02 to go. Washington shooting 60 percent out of the gate.

> 7-0 Washington run out of the timeout, and, in the day’s most surprising news, no timeout from Howland.

> Timeout Washington. Romar irritated with Washington’s inability to get back in transition. It’s 4-4 and UCLA has two jams on the break.

> Washington honored seniors Abdul Gaddy, Scott Suggs and Aziz N’Diaye pregame in a nice ceremony. N’Diaye wearing an I (heart) Africa T-shirt when he comes out for his senior honor. Gaddy received a nice hand.

> UCLA with Drew II, Adams, Muhammad, Anderson and T. Wear. Huskies go with normal starters: Gaddy, Suggs, Wilcox, Kemp, N’Diaye.
