Will Ross be the boss at the dunk contest?

Former Husky Terrence Ross will be in the dunk contest tonight. It’s the fourth of four events that begin at 5:30 p.m. on TNT, so likely to start around 6:30 or 7.

Ross will be one of six participants in the dunk contest, and also the youngest. After being selected eighth overall by the Toronto Raptors, Ross is averaging 6.4 points per game in just 16.4 minutes on the floor. His playing time has fluctuated under coach Dwane Casey, the former Sonics assistant.

One of Ross’ former Washington teammates said they watched dunk contest together two years ago, then Ross went out and did every dunk in practice for fun. Now, the rest of the country gets a look at him.

At the very least, Jason Smith of the New Orleans Hornets is likely to have his money on Ross.
