Welcome to the Galen Center. Gamthread starts on the jump:
> That’s a final. USC wins 71-60. Washington is 13-11 over, 5-6 in conference, and on the road to the NIT, if it’s lucky.
> Washington will be under .500 in conference for the first time this year at 5-6.
> Gaddy turns it over, Terrell to the line and this is all but over. USC up 68-60 with 45.9 to go.
> UW ball with 1:31 to go and USc leading 66-60. Suggs has 16 this half.
> Under-4 timeout and USC leads 61-55 with Fontan (72 percent) going to the line. There is 3:48 to go.
> Gaddy steps on the sideline when the outlet is sent to him to negate a UW fastbreak. USC leads 61-52 with 5:42 to go.
> Terrell hits a 3 and USC moves its lead back to 12, 55-34 with 8:56 to go.
> Andrews’ steal cuts it to six and tons of time as Washington winds its way back into the game playing zone D.
> Washington has the USC lead under 10, 49-41.
> Under-16 timeout and USC still leads 45-35 with 15:52 to go. But, Jio Fontan, the primary defender on C.J. Wilcox just picked up his fourth foul.
> Suggs scores, repeat, Suggs scores and USC calls TO. Trojans up 45-35 with 18:00 to go.
> Halftime. USc leads 40-29 after Washington plays a putrid first 15 minutes of the half.
> Washington has found some offense. Simmons going to the line. 40-28 with 1:14 left in the half.
> Terrell 3 after another … wait for it …. Washington turnover forces a timeout and it’s 35-16 USC.
> SC came into the game shooting 42.9 percent on the season and is shooting 63.2 percent right now.
> Kemp commits a foul, under-8 timeout and the dysfunction continues. USC leads 28-14 with 7:38 to go.
> Under-12 timeout. USC leads 22-10 with 11:22 to go. N’Diaye and Gaddy the only two participating in the game thus far for the Huskies.
> Under-16 timeout and SC leads 18-6 with 14:20 to go in the half. Washington is 3-for-8 and is yet to bother with defense.
> A 3 for Wesley and it’s 18-6 SC. Like many fans, Washington has not shown up yet.
> Fifth-year senior Scott Suggs with an immediate turnover after the Huskies were yelled at for the last 3 days about turnovers.
> Same starters for Washington: Gaddy, Suggs, Wilcox, Kemp Jr. and N’Diaye. Fontan, Terrell, Wise, Wesley and Dedmon for SC.
> Per usual, there is hardly anyone here and the loudest thing in the building is PA announcer Petros Papadakis.
> This was already an important game for Washington, but Arizona’s 77-69 home loss to Cal today once again shifted the look at the top of the conference. Arizona is down to 8-3 and Cal is up to 6-5 in conference. Arizona is now tied with Oregon and UCLA. Colorado is on its way to moving to 6-5 with a win in Corvallis. Had Washington won at UCLA and then again tonight, it would be 7-4 and right there for the conference title. Or, if it had beaten Utah and Oregon State, it would also be looking to move to 8-3 and tied for the conference lead. Instead, it hopes to move to 6-5 in conference play with shots at UCLA, Arizona, Oregon and Arizona State still coming.
