> Terrible defense to end the half and Powell hits a 3 to tie the game 28-28 after Wilcox committed a charge with 4.3 seconds left in the half. Washington went on a 7-0 run to take a 28-25 lead. The Huskies had 13 turnovers in the first half and UCLA has 13 points off them. Wilcox and Gaddy have seven points apiece. Muhammad has 12, but almost all off loose ball stickbacks.

> At the under-8 timeout, UCLA leads 17-16. Scott Suggs has three fouls, Andrew Andrews two and Washington is doing numerous silly things. C.J. Wilcox led the break by dribbling up the wing and his pass to the middle was easily picked off. Shawn Kemp continues to close Kyle Anderson out deep and Lorenzo Romar continues to tell him not to.
